Bottle blues

Dad is trying to teach me how to drink from the bottle this week, but I’m really just not into it. All his advice says to try different combinations of breast milk, formula brands, bottles, teats and feeding positions. My defence is simple, I just don’t let anything near my mouth at all!

Rather than being discouraged, I think Dad should focus on what we have learnt this week, and be proud of that:

  1. I can now push things away that I’m not interested in.
  2. I have become very patient, saying no without theatrics for about 4 hours each day. (Admittedly things go downhill from there, but you’d think he’d get the point by then.)
  3. I’m pretty sure the milk comes from “Mummm.. Mummm.. Mummm..”.
  4. I’m the world’s youngest ventriliquist! I can say or do anything without ever opening my mouth.

Can anyone give me one good reason why I’d give up so many cuddles with Mum and the freshest supply of drinking milk on demand? Maybe it has something to do with that nice place with all the other kids that we visited earlier this week?
