Three months in…

Technically I am no longer a newborn. Some books say newborns are birth to six weeks. Others say the first three months. Either way I’m just a baby now!

  • I am getting much better at direction-ing my arms and can hit the toys on the bouncer with ease. I am starting to grab and hold onto things.
  • I can’t yet hold my weight but am getting a very strong kick.
  • I like to chatter and coo.
  • I like to chuckle, smile and laugh all the time. Almost any eye contact will draw a smile.
  • I am a real snuggler.
  • Although Eli and I go to sleep after our milk at 7pm, I still like to call mum at 3am!

Mum’s edit – the changes at this age is not really monthly. There seem to be developemental milestones rather than continuous improvements. Lachie’s biggest change came at six weeks. It was like he “woke up” at six weeks and one day. He went from sleeping all the time to being awake for an hour. He started making strong direct eye contact and had coo-ing conversations.
