Singing at the Dentist?

We confess. We’ve been here for 18 months and we haven’t been to the dentist. We did go the week before we left Australia though….

So it was time. Mum surfed the internet and the bloggers were unanamous. Dr Fried was the only one to go to. So we made four appointments three months out! It was worth the wait. Dr Fried was awesome!!!

We got to the Dental Sugery to find the waiting room stocked with toys, a big train set and a tv. First impressions = excellent!

On the way in Eli bravely went first. She smiled and laughed her way through her turn. Meanwhile Dr Fried had Lachie singing and impatient for his turn.

Dr Fried explained everything and aswered all of their questions (tooth related and non-tooth related). Nothing was scary. Nothing hurt. His manner was kind, gentle, patient, responsive while still doing an amazing job. He

Eli – was impressed because he painted princesses on the inside of her teeth.
Lachie – was impressed because he painted yummy vanilla tasting stuff on his teeth.
Mum – was impressed because he answered all her questions.
Dad – was impressed because it was all so easy.

When mum put Lachie to bed that night she said to him:
Lachie what was the best thing that happened to you today?
To which he responded: Going to the dentist. When can we go again mum?
