Not quite the plague we’d anticipated

Well the fear of the Cicada plague has certainly been worse than the actual thing…so far!
Either the reports from the last plague (17 years ago!) were well exaggerated or a lot of the cicada tribe have been lost during the 17 year hibernation?

Possibly the Bug Catching Supremo who moved there from Australia has already decimated the entire population and even fewer will turn up in 2030.
