Fire hydrants are for heat waves

Tonight we went for a little excursion into NYC on a hot August evening to celebrate Nathan’s birthday. It felt like a quintessential NY experience sitting in a local bar watching New Yorkers cool off under fire hydrants 🙂

To celebrate the big event we went to Wassail a cider bar…

and Root & Bone – a yummy southern restaurant
(sorry there are no photos of the main course – we devoured it too fast!)

It was a fun night 🙂
