Charleston to Savannah

November 6, 2017
by

Buffet breakfast – my favourite! ALways a good start to any day 🙂
We are loving this stunning weather (27! Maplewood will be 12 today…)

First stop is Boone’s Plantation.

Where we did a tour of the Plantation

Went to a history lesson in slave row (the houses where the slaves slept)

Explored the  beautiful old belle mansion and then saw the cotton & cotton gin – the oldest standing gun in the US

Lunch in Mt Pleasant Landing – with a beautiful view from our table

A drive through swamp lands & over cool bridges

To the Charleston Tea Plantation – the last remaining tea plantation in the US.

There we had a factory tour (there were making green tea), did a little tea tasting & a little Shopping

Then to the Old Sheldon Ruins

Before arriving in beautiful Savannah
