Monster Mini Golf
What to do on a rainy day? Lunch and mini golf perhaps?
We tried TGI Friday’s which was lip smacking according to Eli and Lachie…
(strangely Lachie ordered pineapple juice and ribs, and then declared it the best restaurant ever?)
Then on for a few rounds of Monster Mini Golf. It was lots of fun for all and we found out that dad gets a little competative on the mini golf circuit 🙂
Moles are real – who knew?
It turns out that moles are real. Who knew!
We found out because we had one in our backyard.

What to do?
A road trip of course…
First stop: Glen Island….
Unfortunately Sandy washed away most of the beach.
Fortunately they are trucking sand to rebuild it.
Then to City Island for lunch…
Then off to Pelham Bay for a walk and a play…
(also called Pelican Bay and Orchard beach)
Before home in time for quiet time. A great day for all but particularly for mum 🙂
Good Signs
So something has eaten most of the red flowers….
but there are promising signs on the strawbs & tomatoes 🙂
The Bear turns SIX

(or perhaps it was just the thought of day two at Six Flags)
Tough Choices
With Eli’s birthday looming we gave her the choice – a party or a weekend away? Eli chose the Weekend away 🙂
We asked her where she would like to go and she said somewhere new (that’s my girl – says mum!).
After a little map exploring…we were off to Jackson NJ for the weekend to Six Flags.
The rollercoasters were huge. Sorry there are no photos of those as we were too excited – except for Lachie who preferred to look for bugs 🙂
It was amazing (and yet scary at times) fun!
It is warming up…a little
