Montreal continues
Breakfast next door…
More shopping including getting Eli’s ears pierced….
More wandering around … not a whole lot of photos 🙂
And a super special mother daughter 4 hour dinner at Jerome Ferrier (we think he should have FOUR Michellin stars!!!)
Definitely a very special evening together. So lucky to be able to have this time xx
Montreal day 2
WHen I lived in Montreal, the *best* place you could go to for lunch was Eggspectation. Unfortunately it was outside my budget when I was backpacking and so I only went once. So of course this was top of my list for breakfast (but unfortunately time had not bid them well).
A wander around town which included a whole lot of shopping!
Including a visit to Canada’s much loved Tim Hortons for hot chocolate
Followed by a warm cocktail hour (it is cooooold outside!)
Cocktail hour and dinner
Quebec to Montreal
This place is gorgeous, today started with a buffet breakfast
and a wander around town & lunch
…but all good things must come to an end, so we are off on the train to Montreal for the rest of the week on a new adventure!
Tonight we went to a restaurant where we ate completely in the dark. We ordered ahead of time and then were escorted by blind wait staff to our table. Note there are no after photos!
Quebec Day Two
Quebec
This year Elimena and Lachlan have different Spring breaks and so I am taking the opportunity to spend a week with each of them 1-on-1. Win-win 🙂
First up Eli-bear, she and I are headed to Quebec City….
we’re here! It is super cold (and mum is a little sore from yesterday’s half) so we will be spending lots of time chilling out together.
We splurged and stayed in a castle…
We went out for lunch…
We had a quick walk around town…brrr
Our week is off to a great start 🙂
NYC Half
Syrian Dinner
I am really proud of the work my community has done in helping displaced Syrian families in getting set up locally. One of the ways they raise funds and awareness is to host a dinner. Basically it is a $50pp donation to the family and they cook an absolute feast for you and your friends. A great night out and a chance to discuss how to help. Win-win for all!
