Look who we found in NY
Addios Tom
Final Dash
For Tom’s final day we thought we’d do a quick tour of the highlights of NYC he hadn’t made it to yet.
Hudson yards & a walk along the High Line
via Christina Tosi’s (from Masterchef) Milk bar
Around lower Manhattan
To the 911 Memorial
NYC subway
To home before a final sad farewell dinner at our favourite steakhouse 😦
To home
To Vermont
The hunt for Maine’s best Lobster roll
Today we headed to a little fishing village north of Portland – Boothbay Lobster Wharf – to hunt down the best lobster roll in Maine
with little stops along the way at beautiful look outs and parks along the route
and curious sights out the window of Giant things
(another country with a fascination for large things)
Including the home of LL Bean
Home for quiet time, before heading out in the evening in down town Portland 🙂
Lighthouses & Sea shores
After a breakfast of doughnuts (don’t tell Aunty Cinty!)
Today we explored a little further out & around Portland waterfront – from the lighthouse in the south
a stop at the town’s best Lobster roll truck for lunch
(although some had grilled cheese!!!)
to a beautiful park in the north
Then back into town for dinner in the evening 🙂
To Maine
A quiet day
A quiet day to recover from our late night at the Mets and a busy week
but not too quiet that we couldn’t fit in Tiff’s, Lach’s favourite restaurant that he wanted to take Tom too. After a strong recommendation on how good the burgers and ribs were, Tom branched out and ordered the chicken + waffles (which looked really good too!)
Go Mets!
Another trip into NYC starting at Grand Central where B left T+E to explore the city for the day
and then meeting in the afternoon where we headed out to Flashing to see the Mets at Citi field:)
It happened to be Jerry Seinfeld night and so we received a Jerry bobblehead and he threw the first pitch.
Fun and late night 🙂
