Unfortunately or fortunately … we didn’t catch any fish
The Girl Scouts had their most fun excursion so far – we went fishing today…
Unfortunately or fortunately … we didn’t catch any fish – so that certainly made it easy 🙂
True to her style, Eli-bear fished in a pretty dress 🙂
It was a beautiful day, in a great spot 3 mins from home and it was lots of fun 🙂

The pasta man packs pasta for others
This morning Lachie and I volunteered at the NJ Food Bank, packing pasta in bags for families in need.
I was so proud of our little man working tirelessly in an effort to help as many families as possible – without any complaints 🙂
Great job little man xx
P.S. He’s doing a good job growing stuff for our family too 🙂
Shakespeare for kids
For summer camp this year, we thought we’d try the SOMA Adult school for a few weeks as a variation to the Y. Elimena and Lachie are trying all sorts of fun things – fencing, Super Sleuths, Lego Builders and Shakespeare for kids – to name a few. What has really started me is Elimena’s passion for the Shakespeare for Kids class. She comes home each night, excite to take us through the latest Shakespearean  tradgedy with dramatic quotes and scenes. I am truely amazed by the clever inspirational influences we have in our community 🙂
Happy fifth!
May the Fourth be with you
One of the most fun days of the year…I think we have the routine down now 🙂
The fourth starts with a bike parade…
Is followed by running races…
Seeing the results of the bake-off and an ice-creaming eating competition…
A swim to recover….
Down time at home 🙂
The circus…
Picnic over fireworks with friends 🙂
I’m not sure what happened to the photos (were there any?). Even though the fireworks were rained out – leading to a mad dash with the crowd up the hill and home, it was a great day 🙂
Yeehaw! Our riding weekend continues
Bumpy Birthdays
This year for her birthday Eli chose a weekend away horse riding over a birthday party. So we headed up to the Caskills…
On the way we stopped for awesome BBQ at a roadside wagon…
Then it was to the ranch! Day one was a combination of horse riding (Lachie is old enough now too!), line-dancing, BBQ, chillin’ out with the ranch animals, watching the wild animal show, etc…
It was fun watching Eli lead the line dancing and Lachie lead the break dancing – there was space for all!
We had an awesome time 🙂
