Another one bites the dust
Tuscan Self Portraits
Turbot Turns 2
Riding lessons
Slide West Orange
Boston to home
Sightseeing fashion day 3…
(she really has her own style ๐ )
Back to Bruegger’s Bagel Bakery – because they were so good yesterday!
A quick play in the park…
A good bye to the Dunkin Donuts that seemed to be on every other cornerย (we’re not sure why?)
and across the river to check out MITย and Harvard
(I think we were either over photo-taking by this day or too busy throwing the ball around, as we don’t have very many photos from this day)
before heading home ๐
Boston Day 2
Up and at’em! we were off
First stop was yummy bagels at Bruegger’s bagel bakery.
Then we were off to finish the Freedom trail
The Holocaust memorial
Farmer’sย Markets
Paul Revere’s house
The infamousย Mike’s Pastry
(yummo!)
Alongย the Freedom trail…
Including Old North Church who had a magnificent choir singing (from NY of all places)
Boston Fine Arts Gallery
where Eli was particularly mesmerised by the Fashion exhibition
Before heading back to the hotel for some down time ๐
In the afternoon we headed to the waterfront to see the USS Constitution…
and it’s museum
(where the highlight was the breakdancing puppet show)
Then wander back along the waterfront
to Little Italy for a yummy dinner…
Then along the waterfront before heading home.
A stop for macaroons
(the top thing on Eli’s list to do in Boston)
A stop a little too long at the water fountain…oops!
(mum fell for the “yes you can take your shoes off and dip your toes in”…dad just laughed – he was smarter and knew what was coming)
Then home for a final break dance before bed ๐

We really like Boston as a city. It is such a nice size and has so much to offer ๐ The snow in winter however…
Boston Day 1
First stop the Wheelhouse for an awesome breakfast sandwich with dad before he headed work…
(Lachie loved all the Patriots signs!)
Then it was through Post Office square…
Across Congress St Bridge (past the Tea Party memorial)
To the totally awesome Boston’s Childrenย Museum
A play in the park and then lunch at the Barking crab
Back across the river and through town
A walk over to Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market….
To watch the street performers and have a little treat
(mum chose a cannoli, Eli an ice cream and Lachie chose Teriyaki chicken – each to their own! No one chose the Boston creme pie but they look good!)
Back to the hotel for a chillout and to meet up with dad ๐
Then along the first half of the Freedom trail…
To beautiful Boston Common…
(lucky we brought the ball)
Where we saw their memorial day tribute to the 37,000 Boston men lost from the Revolutionary war until the present
Some saw the duckies and others went break dancing…
Then for dinner (sorry it was devoured too fast for photos!)
As was the post walk ice cream!
then home to shower and to bed.
A great first day ๐
