The day started with a 5k for some…

A detour to our favourite wings sports bar for lunch
(Eli forwent her usual 4th-July-Baking-Competition in favour of BW3)

Back to the to the Village festivities in the afternoon

and braved the crowds for the grand finale fireworks 🙂

Tom and I caught Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway

Whilst Nathan and Lach supported Eli’s game 🙂

I think we wore him out on the first full day…

a yuummy family sushi dinner 🙂

…and a little trip to the park to watch Eli’s softball 🙂

Some of us have to go to work today and some of us get to explore NYC.
Tom was up at the crack of dawn and I gave him a quick walking orientation on NYC triad (Penn, Times Square & Rockefeller) before letting him loose and heading to work 🙂

Meanwhile our sitter took E&L to Jump Zone 🙂

Digby meanwhile was getting lots of love & attention from everyone. Hopefully this lasts forever!!!

Meet Digby – the newest member of our family XXxx+woof!

We picked him up from Newark airport (2nd visit in 3 days – good things come from Newark airport!!!)

and took him to our house…

and he made himself at home.

Welcome Digby 🙂 If the start is anything to go by, I’m pretty sure you’ll be running the place soon 🙂

A morning walk around the NJ waterfront park and look at the views to Manhattan

followed by an All-American experience trip to White Castle

I think someone is happy that his cuz is visiting 🙂

We’re luckily enough to have two weeks, so we have the luxury of taking it slow and giving Tom time to adjust to the time difference – but we can still squeeze in our favourite southern barbeque place 🙂
