Staycation Day 2: Chocolate, Lucy & a little AC sparkle!
Happy Easter! The Lindt Bunny found us. Hope she (or one of her good friends) found you!
The day started with chocolate bunnies 🙂 🙂 🙂
These were rapidly devoured and so there is no photographic proof that we don’t deprive the kids.
The we had our Spanish lesson, in preparation for our trip to Panama.
The we were off! First stop was for lunch and to try and buy inline skates for the Boardwalk. Fail! One sports store was closed for Easter Sunday and the other doesn’t stock them any more.
Next stop was to take Eli’s cherished Elephante back to her roots – to meet Lucy the big Elephant in Atlantic City.
(check out her beautiful beach view!)
Then we arrived! AC baby, we’re here.
Time for a wander along the boardwalk and a quick swim.
(this is the promotional photo from the hotel website)

Luckily our room had a beautiful view along the boardwalk and so we could enjoy the lights without even having to go out.
by day…
by night…
Staycation Day 1: Roosevelt Island
For day one of our Staycation, we thought we’d check out Roosevelt Island.
So we packed up the car and drove into the city.
We got the subway across to the deepest subway station in the NYC subway system.
We explored the north end of the island…
An old church being restored
The new FDR monument
Views to Manhattan…
Views to Queens…
Then got the Tram car back…
As a reward for being so good we stopped at Dylan’s Candy Bar on the way back to the car…
before heading home.
A great way to start the school holiday week!
My mate Billy can still bring the house down!
Maryanne my friend from work got last minute tickets to see Billy Joel and had a spare one for me!
We were 10 rows back, center, four seats up from Sarah Jessica Parker and only paid $125.
Madison Square Garden was packed to the rafters and the crowd were in full croon. It was incredible!
Billy Joel in Madison Square Garden – you rock!!!!
We’ve decided to add a patio
Adara
Maplewood Easter Bunny
While we’re on hair
Raccoons in our back tree
Wet, comb and gel
They’re back and so are we!
The Ringling Brothers – Barnum and Bailey circus was back in town and of course we couldn’t help ourselves from going again. These guys are awesome!
