Open Sesame
The day after Thanksgiving, we all had the day off and so we thought we’d take an overnight trip to Trenton NJ / Langhorne PA.
First stop was Sesame Place and the whole gang was there:
Yup it was cold…
But look who we ran into!!!!!
Then at night the lights came on…
It was super-cold and awesome 🙂
Tigers do cool stuff

Maplewood in Fall
Another random November day off school
In November, Mum is wondering if NJ has more days off school than at school?
Anyway, mum had an absolute ball at home with the tigers.
(as did dad on his days off)
First stop was a ride at South Mountain Reserve:
Lunch & a movie in West Orange:
Then we got to watch Lachie’s hockey class:
We also got to watch Eli’s basketball class:
If only every day could be like this!
Sandy’s Castle: the world’s tallest
We hadn’t been on a road trip for a while…so we were due!
First stop was to Point Pleasant Beach to see the world’s tallest sandcastle:
(can you pick the three human sand-castles?)
Point Pleasant Beach:
We checked out Jenkinson’s boardwalk  and found a little treat:
Next up was a short drive along the sea shore to Long Branch:
(point “B” in the map at the top)
for lunch:
It was a fun excursion 🙂
Watchung in Fall
I could resist a few happy snaps of the Fall colours during a trip to the playground at Watchung Reservation. The colours are simple stunning 🙂
Awesome Spooky Houses
Finally to Trick-or-Treat
The much anticipated Tiger’s party at Lachie’s school:

The much anticipated school parade at Eli’s school:
Unfortunately poor Eli was sent home from school shortly after with a temperature, so the town parade was ruled out this year.  We did fit in a small-dash of local trick-or-treating though:
We were just happy after two failed attempts, to finally have electricity on Halloween and the opportunity to dress up and have some fun.
Happy Halloween!
A real witchy broom
Halloween can’t come soon enough! To complete Eli’s Halloween outfit we made the mistake of impulse buying a scented broom at the local supermarket to complete her outfit. Ever since the entire house has reeked of cinnamon / five spice / baking spices. Our house now has a – 24 hour – non stop – baking smell. We are going batty!
