First Y Field Trip
My first Y field trip today – pumpking picking at Alstede Farms.
Look at me proudly sporting my YMCA tigers t-shirt (with a stylish harry-high-pants look!).
Luckily we get back from the field trip in time for my hockey class this afternoon. What an action packed day!
Field trips! My word being in pre-K is cool!

The big decisions
Reach for the sharks!
Today we chose to go to one of our favourite places. In the six months since we’d been there they’d opened two new very awesome exhibits..
A seal exhibit
…and a touch tank with stingrays and sharks
This place just gets cooler!!!
We always have a great time here 🙂
And just in case anyone else is tracking it too…we can confirm that after two and a half years of solid patronage, we still haven’t seen the resident groundhog. Not quite sure what to make of that?
Friday night ‘copters
Dad was away and so rather than tears mum resorted to bribery – Lego for Lachie and plastic bands (for rainbow looms) for Eli. Bribery is alive and well and we had a very fun Friday night at home. (and E+L were too busy to miss dad…sorry Nae!)
Check out Lachies helicopter. He built this completely by himself with only one misplaced brick. Mum & Lachie are very proud!
What can I say – but Friday nights are pretty exciting in our house 🙂 🙂 🙂
One more….seriously?
A Summer of road trips & light houses
Sadly today marks the official end of summer.
I think this Summer can aptly be described as the summer of Light houses and Road trips.
Not sure I’ll get the kids and Nathan out of the house for the next few months…time to hibernate?
Starburst
The house is content with Lego + Rainbow Looms
The weather is starting to get cold and it is time to bunker down.
Lachie is loving drawing and lego.
Eli is loving reading and making rainbow loom bracelets.
It is a nice quiet weekend – we’re sure due for one!
