It was time….

Mum, dad and I were playing in the lounge room last night when I decided that it was probably time I walked. I’ve been pulling myself up on things and walking around furniture since January / February.

So I just stood up unsupported and walked ten steps across the room. Then I stopped, stood there for a while and then promptly fell over.

You could have heard a pin drop. While mum and dad lifted their jaws up off the ground, I took another six or so steps and walked over to the couch. The I was off. Zigzagging across the room ever so daintily! Mum & dad were in shock and forgot to cheer at first – but they made up for it later with lots of kisses and hugs. Lucky! or they would have been in trouble!

Later mum compared my walking to being like a cautious tip-toeing cat-burglar…but I don’t understand what she means by that?

We are so proud of you Eli! And executed perfectly in front of both mum and dad – not wasted on playcare – gaining maximum exposure and getting huge mileage from 6 steps!!! Well done. Love Tom, Milly & Chloe (who better be taking notes for future reference)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Clever Eli! You keep on with those surprizes for Mum and Dad. It is good to keep them guessing! What a clever girl to be walking and getting closer to lots of adventures on two legs.Love from Grandma and Grandpa Wallace
