Cape Cod Day 6: The Monomoy Island Seals
She’s back baby! After 24 hours of antibiotics, Eli was on the mend and feeling much better!
After a cautious morning walk / bike ride to test Eli’s match fitness, we headed out for the day.
First stop was Nauset Light beach
(sand castles for some – seal watching for others! How awesome is it that they just swim past???)
Chatham wharf to meet our seal cruise, where we were lucky enough to see a fishing boat come in – followed closely some hungry birds & seals.
Then for a boat trip and to see the local seals of Monomay Island:
Where we saw LOADs of seals swimming happily in the harbor:
A casual lunch at Cobie’s Seafood Shack:
(yes mum’s summer quest to eat nothing but seafood when possible continued!)
Home for quiet time…
Then crab & fish chasing at Skaket Beach at low tide.
We brought home a few hermit crabs – but we know we have to return them before we leave (unless we can convince dad otherwise?)
I think that your site should be renamed
“The Wallace Family guide to the best VIEWS and CHEWS in Northern America.”
We really enjoy the opportunity you travel with you all,
Hugs all around
