Off the Rails?

Tonight we headed out to a new restaurant – Rails – for B’s birthday dinner at the kids first steak house.

(Spoiler alert! Don’t read this if you are thinking of going)

We arrived too early to be seated and so they sent us downstairs for drink. We went downstairs to be confronted by the bathrooms and a book case…ah ha! Secret entrance…

We found our way in and had a pre-dinner drink
(very civilized for a family of four!)

Then when it was time – headed upstairs for dinner. We were totally blown away by the decor. Most of the wood came from felled trees during Hurrican Sandy and there were glass blocks in the floor…

Of course there was dessert…
(a cheese plate and dessert…who do you think voted for which?)

So much fun!
