Jolly Jumper
Elimena did the Riverdance, but I prefer the classic approach.
The Twin Towers
8 months and counting
- I can roll in both directions. I will roll from back to front for dad but not for anyone else!
- I am really inquisitive and will twist and turn whatever angle it takes to check things out. (Yes mum has been calling me Mr Busy-body!)
- I know my name.
- I have three meals a day and three milk feeds. For breakfast I like weetbix. For lunch I like fruit and yoghurt. In fact any time of the day I like yoghurt. For dinner I generally have veggies.
- I love it when you give me a piece of steak to chew.
- I am very chatty and smiley. I do a real heart-felt chuckle.
- I love playing with the music table when I am in the jolly jumper.
- For my eighth month birthday mum & dad are buying me a big kid frontward facing carseat like Elimena’s. I can’t wait! Finally I get to see where we are going!
Steak!
Man … where have they been hiding this stuff! Vegetables (yuck!), Weet-bix (good) and yoghurt (yum!) are my staples, but every now and then I have the chance to chew on something great.
(Although you can hear it in their voices, it’s a shame we don’t have a photo of Mum & Dad beaming with pride as I chow into meat with abandon!).
Little Grommets
Little Grommets…..nah! not me and my friends!
The ear thingys 🙂
I had grommets put in my middle-ears today. Hopefully this means the end of my continual bout of ear infections.
Fingers crossed.
Trains, Ferrys and Buses … Oh my!
To celebrate Grandma’s birthday, we decided to do a big day out. We’d catch the train to the city, the ferry to Manly for lunch and then a bus back home.
First we needed a map so we would know where to go. We got the train to Wynyard.
Then we waited for the ferry and played at Circular Quay for a while… Lots of running and balancing with my cousins!
The ferry to Manly was really cool, we spent lots of time out the back enjoying the sunshine and looking at the other boats.
After lunch and presents at Manly, everyone was really tired so we sat quietly on the bus home…
My baby!

- I can roll if I want to but to be honest it really doesn’t excite me.
- I can sleep through if I want to – in fact I’ve done it three times in seven and a bit months – but I like the company so why bother?
- I love to snuggle and chuckle and laugh.
- I love playing with the music table while in the jolly jumper.
- I will eat veggies, mashed fruit, yoghurt and rice crackers But my favourite of all is weetbix. I have one and a half blocks every morning for breakfast…yummo!
- I love my dummy and watching Eli rush about the place on her important business.
- I have two big sleeps a day. Although sometimes I add a little catnap in between 🙂
@ 29 months
- I love wandering around the house in my heels…and and and I just love shoes & handbags.
- I like showing Lachie how to roll and giving him lots of kisses.
- I can do a “double thumbs up”.
- I still respect the naughty corner.
- I still love my afternoon sleep and love having books read to me.
- I have my own more-interesting version of the alphabet.
- I love helping out.
- I love swimming. Mum was wandering if perhaps I was a fish in a past life?
- I love running, running, running 🙂
