Are you sure?
Birthday burgers
Dad and Grandpa love burgers. In fact, they love the same foods so much they’ve decided to start combining their birthday events to ensure they get first choice over location (no matter what the rest of us think!).
This year, we all went to The Counter Burger in Crows Nest.
As you can see, we weren’t too disappointed with this location. Although Lachlan was disappointed he had to share in Mum’s burger salad … he wanted some of Dad’s instead!
To prepare myself for the big meal, Grandpa and I did some cool walking near the fountain…
It was before my time, but apparently none of this compares to the 15lb burger!
27 months
27 months seems like an awful lot! Dora has only taught me to count to twelve.
I wonder when you stop counting age in months? It must be soon?
So what am I up to?
- I love singing, particularly “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” today. About two weeks ago I finally decided to sing along with the mostly correct words to all the songs mum & dad sing me. Like the rest of the family, I have a beautiful voice 😉
- I love dress-ups.
- I love birthdays – particularly when the candles are blown out.
- I am getting very independant. I love dressing myself and am mostly successful. I like to choose my own clothes.
- I love swimming & parks & playing. I can run and jump but walking is just too slow.
- I’ve finally co-ordinated the thumbs up signal. The smoking gun hand signal I’ve been able to do for months but the thumbs up was a little harder.
I love a little sparkle
The other week we shared some sparklers with the girls (Nadia, Nausheen, Nasreen and Naureen) from next door. It was a bit scary at first but lots of fun!
5 months in…
Unfortunately I wasn’t so well at four months and so I wasn’t able to post. Rest assured I made up for missing out on the attention here by getting lots of attention, snuggles & cuddles at home 🙂
At five months:
- I now sleep in a sleeping bag. No baby-wrapping for me!
- I still haven’t made it through the night without being fed. Mum and Dad are planning on changing this!
- I can roll from front to back (with a lot of convincing).
- I started “solids” or sticky-glue-like-farex last weekend. I’m not overly convinced yet that that is a good thing.
- I’m still still chilled, happy & smiley.
- I love watching my big sister do anything.
- I’ve started to dribble and like to suck on my hand.
- I am very chatty and have a lot to say.
Miss Independant
I’m pretty big now. I like to choose my clothes AND dress myself (sometimes to the exasperation of the olds!).
AND sometimes I go a little crazy and try and put my entire wardrobe on at once! This day I successfully put on 3 shirts, 2 pairs of long pants, 1 skirt, 2 pairs of shorts and 2 t-shirts 🙂
Although to get them all on at once, mum did have to give me a little help twards the end 🙂
