Happy Dance Caught On Tape
It’s everywhere, yet nowhere. It’s full of joy, yet only shared on special occasions. The Happy Dance is a regular part of life in our household and now (finally) we can share it with you here!
It is a purely Elimena creation, which we eventually connected with the Happy Troll episode of Dora where the Troll does his happy dance at the end of the episode when all three rare things that make him happy occur.
No matter how your day has gone or how early you are immersed in a swimming lesson pool during winter, enjoying a Happy Dance with Elimena is guaranteed to make everything great!
Tick Tock
Tick Tock’s are my favourite part of swimming lessons. They are so great that they even work in the dining room in the middle of winter!
(This video also contains short glimpses of the Happy Dance!)
Camouflage
If Eli can do it (see here).
Can I?
The Swim Team
The other week we took Lachie for his first swim.
Josh and Chloe came along and it was lots of fun!
Yeeeee-Haaaaa!
If Lachie is a Cowboy.
I wanna be a Cowgirl 🙂
Yeeeee-Haaaaa!
First swim
After weeks of watching Eli and jealously watching her head off to swimming lessons each week, today I finally got to go in! It was fantastic, I just floated around on Mum & Dad’s shoulders for ages.
It was also Chloe’s first time swimming, and she enjoyed it just as much as I did. While we both wanted to just have a relaxing lull around, it was pretty much impossible with all the yelling, laughing, screaming and carrying on that Eli & Josh do when they get together at the pool…
Pilla
My friends Jo and Andrew gave me this cool book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” which we read almost every day.
I’m not sure who likes it the most – Mum or me?
Anyway…
Mum and I entered the draw at our local Dymocks.
Then we hoped, we prayed and we kept our fingers crossed.
Then we WON! YAY YAY YAY!
We won a two meter long Hungry Caterpiller!
I’ve called him Pilla and sleep with every night 🙂
25 months
I am in the middle of a mental developement spurt. My words are starting to stream in threes and fours. I seem to be picking up new words in each conversation.
We’ve been practicing colours and counting this month.
Mum thought I could count to two (definitely) and three (sometimes). Often though I think the numbers go as – one, two, five! As in one bike, two bikes and more than two bikes is five bikes 🙂
Then the other night when we were out walking and looking at the stars and moon, I showed her that I could count to TEN. Just as Dora had taught me. Mum almost fell over in shock.
Much to mum’s distress I dropped my midday snooze one day. She hopes that I don’t do this again for a while…She quite enjoys the down time, because as you know the life of a toddler is go-go-go for every other part of the day!
I am further testing the boundaries. I now clearly know what they are but just like to check occasionally.
Food is food at the moment and nothing more. I’m not too fussed what I am eating. I’m not too excited by anything either. Some meals I want it. Others I’m not overly into it.
I understand the concept of time. When dad went away during the month, we noted his return day in my calendar and we marked off the days until he came home. I didn’t get as upset as I usually would because I understood that he was coming back. I gave hime lots of cuddles when he came home.
I am enjoying both imaginary play and dependant play. Thus enabling me to make “real” friends that I look forward to seeing.
