Strawberry Festival
One of our favourite local annual events…the Peddlers Village Strawberry Festival 🙂
This year we got given a free frisbee which we made great use of…

Fairy Walk

E’s Invention Convention
For her third grade project Eli had to invent something…she invented the pencil pocket – for convenience and efficiency to find that pencil when you need it! Well done little bear xx
We celebrated with a sleepover for 5!

Cinco De Mayo
So many reasons to break routine to celebrate go and out this week…
- on Monday – Eli finished her (delayed) PARCC exams
- on Tuesday -E+L made B a super yummy dinner (see photo below)
- on Wednesday – E+L did a great job helping Janette (our sitter) when her car ran out of gas
- on Thursday – it’s Cinco de Mayo – which calls for Mexican food (dad is away this week and mum doesn’t want to cook…)
E+L have been super good helpers this week and deserve a special treat (including ice-cream!)
Whilst at the restaurant, Lachie’s group leader from the Tuscan Show gave him the police hat from the show to keep. This is super cool as it is a prop from Blue Bloods (one of mum & dad’s favourite shows!!!)

A little trip to Home Depo as Lachie is keen to fill his garden. He chose corn, zinnia, cucumber, nasturtium, strawberries, basil, sunflowers and hot peppers.
Eli’s Investiture Ceremony … she is now an official Girl Scout!

Makers Madness Returns
This has to be one of Maplewood’s coolest events of the year…Makers Madness at the local High school. Fun filled STEM games for kids of all ages. Structures to build from straws and lollies (yes you get to eat the lollies at the end!), Minecraft, old computers and electronics to pull apart, drones, rockets, virtual reality glasses…we love it!
In the evening whilst E+L were this cute….
(yes we had a sitter)
we headed to a friend’s house for dinner (thanks S+J!) where N found a new gin to go shopping for..
before heading to another neighbour’s house to listen Milton an awesome local band 🙂
It was a fun day for all 🙂
