First there was Rho, then came Pinchy
We couldn’t wait any longer…it was time!
By now we have the tree shopping thing down…
Eli & Lachie chose “Rho” the tree, but unfortunately someone else chose him faster 😦 and he went to another home…
Then we chose “Pinchy”…and took him home before anyone else could!
We decorated him…
And finally the finishing touch!
Pinchy was ready 🙂 and so are we!
Happy Thanksgiving
iLuminate artist of light
Today it was time for a mother son day…so we went and saw the best Hip-hop dancers in NYC ILuminate.
Another awesome day NYC-style 🙂
The Matilda Challenge
I made a deal with Eli – if she read the book I’d take her.
So she read the book and then we had an amazing day hanging out with the girls – Liz and Aoife watching Matilda on Broadway. Win-win!
The day was made extra special by our super-awesome neighbours (Amy & Dan) who organised us a backstage tour Â
I think the boys had fun without us?
This was a great way to spend a SaturdayÂ
Go Pirates!
With Seton Hall University being in the next village (less than a mile away) – we thought we’d go along and cheer at the season opening game. If Seton Hall is good enough for Andrew Gaze, they are more than good enough for us!
Oops! Lachie and I got caught dancing on the Jumbotron
(and Adara too – the gorgeous baby next to us! Sasha was lucky enough to be hidden by the boys from the row in front of us)
We had a great time cheering along with out friends 🙂
Final Dose of Disney
After a very sad farewell to Grandma & Grandpa, we were off for our final day at Disney…which park should we go to?
Animal Kingdom won over with its *Epic* Roller Coaster ride for the kids and its animals for mum! Besides the not-so-scary (eek!) rides, there was lots of dancing, drumming, 4-D Bugs Life movies and all sorts of fun things to do 🙂
Including the extremely clever Finding Nemo puppet show:
We did go back on the Mount Everest ride – and it was no where near as scary second time around when you knew what you were in for! We even let Lachie go on a second time.
After which we drove to Tampa and spent the night there before heading home. What a great trip!

Disney Princesses Elimena & June
Just once in a lifetime…you get to become Disney Princess Elimena and Disney Princess June.
First stop was Downtown Disney to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to meet June and get all dolled up!
(yes my Disney Princess chose blue eyeshadow and red lipstick!)

Then the royal photo shoot…
Back to Chris & Courtney’s hotel for some down time, before heading back to the park for a few quick rides and the fireworks…
Before heading to meet Cinderella in HER CASTLE!!!
Cinderella INVITED US (Courtney, June, Elimena & Bianca) to stay for dinner with her princess friends:
Before turning into pumpkins and heading home. A HUGE THANK YOU to Courtney and Kitty for organising such an amazing evening! What a very lucky and amazing day 🙂
Animals of all kinds in this Kingdom
This morning we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The three highlights were:
#1. The amazing and very clever Tree of Life which is made up of animals carved into the wood. These photos really don’t do it justice.
#2. The fun Lion King show
#3 The fabulous animal safari
The final story from the morning is about the Everest ride. Grandma, Grandpa, Elimena, Lachlan and I (Bianca) climbed aboard a roller coaster called Mount Everest. The name should have been warning enough, but busily chatting we climbed aboard without giving it too much thought. We were off! The roller coast car climbed to what felt like the height of the real Mount Everest….then all you could see ahead of you was the track ending . Uh oh…at the height of Mount Everest you are hurtling towards a broken track…ay caramba! The car stops dead in its tracks just in time. Phew! For just a second, then it starts going backwards…hurtling backwards…NOOOOOOO!!!!! All I could think of was crap – Lachie is too small for this ride 😦 Why have I let him go on it??? Crapola! are we going go backwards all the way to the start? Mid-mild-panic, while clutching Elimena (because yes I can at least keep one of my children safe, because yes I have so much control over the outcome right now) the car stops again. Phew! The car takes off hurtling forwards again, a couple of high speed twists and turns – a few safe super speedy loops around the mountain and we are back at the beginning my heart still racing. We climb out and our first words were:
Grandma: I wish I knew it was going to backwards 😦
Bianca: Me too. I also wish I hadn’t taken Lachie on that ride 😦
Grandpa: I knew it was going to go backwards.
Grandma + Bianca in unison somewhat loudly: WHAT? Thanks for the warning!
Lachie: That was EPIC!!!!
Elimena: Can we go again?
(unfortunately dad had to work this morning and couldn’t come along…perhaps we should bring him another day for this fun surprise?)
