Snow-inconvenience
All plans went out the window today as we were snowed in.
Cousin Georgina & Aunty Peta braved the outside briefly to eat some snowflakes and while Eli & Lachie threw snowballs…
But for the most part, it gave us a great chance to catch up and hang out 🙂
Uncle Jus even taught Eli his super-secret and super-yummy scone recipe…
(she promised to keep it in the family!)
Tigers do cool stuff
Look who has come to stay?
The Nutcracker
As an awesome birthday present (in February) we got given two tickets to see George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker performed by the New York City Ballet Theatre. Finally the day was here!
We took a train and a subway
to the Lincoln Center…
There mum surprised Eli with a dance class with the New York City Ballet ballerinas.
They broke the group up into three and taught us three routines from the Nutcracker and the put on a show for the parents. Eli got to be a flower!
Then it was off to the gorgeous dazzling David H Koch Theatre for the BIG event 🙂
A quick walk down to Columbus Circle to check out the Chrissy Decorations…
and a frozen yogurt to finish the day. What a day!!!
We didn’t feel too sorry for the boys. They went Lego shopping…
We had a fantastic day. Thank you!
Two bad selfies, one stunning tree
Our Selfie with the Rockefeller tree on the way to and from Bianca’s work’s holiday party really didn’t do the tree justice…
(good thing we all have creative imaginations!)
Look who’s back?
Our good friend Mr Handsome Elf and he is up to mischief all ready!
Dad’s Chrissy Extravaganza
Millburn Snowflake Parade
We whipped over to Millburn, a neighbouring village to have lunch…

Trenton Makes and the World Takes
We felt like we HAD to visit Trenton after hearing about it on The Office for years. So after breakfast and a little downtime in the hotel…
(it is amazing ways you can find to fill time!)
… we headed in to Trenton. Trenton originaly prosperous for its iron works, is a now sadly a struggling city.
First stop was the NJ State Museum & Planetarium…
A quick walk around town…
Before lunch and a visit to the Grounds for Sculpture to do a little artwork and check out the lights & sculptures.
It was a fun trip home 🙂
Nothing shady here
After Sesame Place, we thought we’d drive through the Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farms.
The millions of lights were stunning:
Unfortunately, these photos really don’t do it justice, but it was loads of fun!
