Elf on the Shelf

December 27, 2011
by

This December one of Santa’s Elves came to live with us. (Also known as The Elf on the Shelf)

We loved him! We called him Mr Handsome Elf.

All day he would keep and eye on us and then at night time he would use his magic to go back to Santa and tell him whether we had been naughty or nice. When he back back (before we work up) he would go into a new spot and it was our job to find him. It made getting up in the morning so much fun as we never knew where he would be! We found on windows, tables, chairs, lights the buffet, the mantle, all sorts of cool hiding places. Sometimes it was easy to find him, other times it was a bit harder. But he was always there:

Well now we are very sad. On Christmas Eve when Santa left our pressies, he took the Elf home with him 😦
But it is ok as the Elf is with his friends and he has promised to come back next December 🙂

We missed you but…

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Thank you for all the cool pressies.
We were so overwhelmed with excitement, rained in attention and felt totally loved.

We missed you, but we had an excellent Christmas.

We hope you did too,
Elimena + Lachlan xxxx

Cookies for Santa

What better way to spend Christmas Eve than making yummy cookies for Santa. (Our last chance to bribe our way onto the nice list!)

Of Course quality control was important…

Before leaving them out for Santa 🙂

It is sooooo exciting coming home to a porch that looks like this:

(if only the porch was clean too!)

Mum and Dad are so impressed that they managed to do all of their Christmas shopping online. Amazon rocks! Thanks Amazon you made our Chrissy so easy and stress free!

Quiet Afternoon in Maplewood

December 17, 2011

This afternoon Lachie had a birthday party, and so the girls wandered into the village for a quiet milkshake. Only to find the local park decked out with gorgeous little houses as Dicken’s Village. Gotta love Christmas spirit 🙂

Even the big fella and his missus was there!

(Don’t worry Lachie, I put in a good word for you! Love Eli xx)

Lachie had a good time at his party too 🙂

Lego Zoo

Elimena and Lachlan both love making amazing creations with Lego at the moment. Here was a particularly inspired piece that they collaborated on!

(Of course, many times it’s more a battle over pieces or simple “cakes” which are all the blocks lined up in a big box style structure.)

Snow Globe

Eli made a snow globe at daycare today 🙂  🙂  🙂  How cool!

Dad has decorated the tree out the front of our house too. It looks amazing and again photos don’t do it justice.

Picture this…Eight hundred lights – blinking in groups – lighting up different branches at random intervals. It looks awesome!
