Moustache
Elimena @ 4.5 years
Has very important things to do these days…
* Loves her letters and showing more interest in numbers.
* Asks lots of questions about everything and really thinks about the answers before coming back with more questions.
* Still misses her friends in Australia but has settled in well with her new classmates here.
* Still loves all things pink and frilly.
* Loves chicken nuggets, pizza, cantelope (rockmelon), cherry tomatoes and most “plain” things really.
* Will eat dinner night after night to make it to the mini ice-cream cones that we get from Trader Joes for dessert.
* Loves puzzles and colouring in.
* LOVES running races but particularly loves to win. Apparently the winner gets the glory but the person who comes last gets lots of consolation prizes at daycare. Not wanting to read too deeply into this at this stage…!
* Always full of hugs and kindness, and has plenty to say!

The Greeter
This morning Lachlan was the class room greeter. Whenever a friend would come in Lachlan would give them a hug and a kiss. He would stay with them until their parents left just making sure they were okay.
Lachlan was very excited to see Christopher, Riley and Taosen come in. He played with Taosen until Riley came in.
Lachlan was the best greeter ever!
(From his Day Care Daily Experience Sheet today.)

* Loves books, cars, trains and anything with wheels.
* Loves singing and music.
* Is very social and loves being the centre of attention.
* Loves to dress up as Superman, Buzz Lightyear or Woody.
* Loves to quote movie lines. Lachie to Nathan randomly one morning: Hi there well groomed man! (from Toy Story)
* Loves watching Pixar’s cars movies, Shrek & Thomas the Tank Engine.
* Loves to play with sticks and add a bit of a bush walk to any outing.
Is lots of fun to have around!
Children’s Museum
Today was a bit cold and so we thought we would go to the Children’s Museum of New Jersey. We had a great time…
They even had a pumpkin maze….
Afterwhich we got to paint our pumpkins and make some fun art.
We had a great time.
I know when it’s time!
I’ve decided I don’t need diapers anymore.
So I asked for undies.
So mum and dad bought me pull-ups.
I showed them dry pull-ups for two days.
So they bought me undies.
I showed them I was a big boy! I am doing exceptionally well in my undies. Mum & dad are so proud 🙂
Diapers are for babies!!!
(as are afternoon sleeps – but I’ll train them on one thing at a time)
Love Lachie xx
