Check out my new shoes…how grown up do I look now?

When mum and dad take them off – I like to carry them everywhere 🙂

Milson’s Point

What to do on a wintery Syndey day with lots of energy?
Today we thought we’d head down to Milson’s Point and catch up with Nanny .

We waited very patiently while mum got everything ready.

The we jumped in our stroller, caught a train and met Nanny & Uncle Jus at Luna Park.

From there we caught a ferry and went for a ride.

It was great to see them 🙂

  • I am very kind and patient with Lachie.
  • Mum still gets lots of cuddles.
  • I like to watch movies and Diego.
  • My favourite colour is pink and blue.
  • My favourite foods are BBQ chickn, meat and cheese.
  • I love running and climbing and going to the zoo..
  • I am good at puzzles.
  • Bedtime consists of a story, a toilet trip and then a cuddle with a quiet chat in the dark while I wind down. The old ten minute process now takes thirty minutes…yeah yeah!
  • Mum wants to know what I do at daycare – as when I come home I always have dirt on the end of my nose.
  • I love bandaids and think they are a great reward.
  • I was sick this month with hand, foot and mouth disease. Mum kept me at home and I got to stay on the couch and watch TV all day. It was heaven!
  • I love to sing and dance.
  • I am due for haircut number two!

What about me!

It’s Eli’s birthday today and I want some attention too!

I know…I’ll start walking today. That ought to do it!

My Party!

May 8, 2010
by

It was so cool! After planning it for the last four months, finally I had a birthday party. We had it at the garden house today and some of my friends came over.

Mum and Dad made me a dolly cake.

We had balloons, pass-the-parcel, bubbles, a lolly-hunt, chippies AND they gave me pressies.

Thank you everyone 🙂

New Grommets and Bye Bye Adenoids

May 5, 2010

I went to sleep to a sweet gas smell in mum’s arms.

I woke up in mummy’s arms – a little fuzzy and disoriented.

Then I proceeded to get lots of cuddles and bottles of warm yummy milk all day.

I’m a snuggler. It was my kind of day!

I don’t feel well 😦

I’ve got a cold 😦

I have had ear infections and antibiotics for six weeks.

I am getting a new set of grommets next week.

Hopefully then I’ll feel all better.

2.11 months: …and three here I come

  • I understand birthdays (with candles and presents!) and can’t wait for my birthday next month!
  • My words surprise mum every day. Although it is often my pronunciation that lets me down.
  • I take very good care of “baby”. Some days she is a he and others he is a she…but either way I love her and always make sure whe has her dummy.
  • I don’t mind wearing my hair up if you tell me that you will do it the same as mum’s or Milly’s.
  • I love pretend games. They always include ice-creams, bears or “crocodiles biting you”!
  • I will show people I like them by saying “Do you want to be my friend?”
  • I love books and stories but am getting a bit old for – gasp – Dora! I like watching movies now instead. Last thing at night before I go to bed I like to wind down by sitting and cuddling on the couch with a good movie (or twenty minutes of one). I am also allowed to watch TV first thing in the morning (but not during the day!). All up I get a good hour but I could watch it very happily all day if you let me.
  • I still really enjoy playcare and playing with my friends there. Particularly Sophie, Daniel & Thomas.
  • My fingernails and toe nails are permanently blue as they are on an almost daily painting schedule. I think mum and dad may have a few more colours planned for my birthday. Cassie my swimming teacher always has blue nails and so I don’t know that I need any other colours. Although Milly had on orange last time I saw her….
  • As Lachie gets older and more interactive I am having more and more fun playing with him. We can do a little bit of independant play together (when dad is watching over us….but with mum she closely supervises!)
  • I am very independant. One of my favourite phrases is “I do it myself” – which I like to use when you are trying to do things for me that I know I can do.
  • I love dresses and skirts and hate singlets and shoes.
  • My favourite colour is blue.
  • My perfect place would be one that was full of blue flowing dresses, TV and chicken nuggets!

13 months and it’s all go Go GO!

by

It’s been a busy month….

  • I’ve learned the joy of “pointing”. Now I can show you where I want to go and what I want to eat. Finally!
  • My pointing finger is also called my naughty finger. It has an obsession with power points, computer switches, remote controls and well any type of button really. Mum and dad also love it when we are in the lift and I can reach all of the buttons. They are fun ones – they turn red or green when you touch them.
  • On Friday 19th, I did my best standing-unaided effort yet. I held a surfing-like position unsupported for a good 3-4 seconds. Mum and dad were very proud. I maximised the attention by doing in front of Grandma and Grandpa.
  • On Saturday 27th, I took my first few steps. It won’t be long before I am walking (actually running!) after Elimena.
  • I am very good at shaking my head as a yes or a no indication. Between that and the finger pointing I’m set.
  • I am kind of hovering between having one and two daytime sleeps.
  • I will eat pretty much anything. I still sign for milk when I want it. Last night we went out for Chinese with Nanny and I ate a I still signdim sim and a half, two prawns, some rice, a cheese stick and a tub of yoghurt.
  • I am excellent at waving and saying “Bye”.
  • My words are coming along in leaps and bounds. I regularly use mum, dad, more, bye, hi and will try anything you throw at me. I am finding “Eli” difficult though.
  • I love kisses and cuddles.
  • I’ve had a few colds this month and I have been a little mischievous but mum says generally I am a happy-easy-going-fun to be around little bloke 🙂
