Weekend in Leura
Last weekend we stayed in Leura with the Wallace clan. It was fantastic… Heaps of food, play time with Emma & Juliette and there was a park nearby that had great equipment and more ducks than I’ve ever seen!

The Festival of Dora
This year, purely by co-incidence, Christmas was the festival of Dora.
I got a Dora sleeping bag, a Dora back-pack, some Dora clothing, a Dora doll, a Dora handbag and a Dora colouring book.
In the sales mum bought me a hooded Dora towel for the pool and a Dora DVD.
You’d think I was a Dora addict or something?
@ 20 Months
- I have all sorts of new interests and am still very busy…
- I am very snuggly at the moment and love cuddles. I am blowing lots of kisses too 🙂
- I love dollies and have started taking two to bed with me. I usually don’t mind which ones I take but currently Doh-Doh (the elephant) and Sox (the monkey) are my favourites.
- I am getting way better at interacting with other kids.
- Hair has become a constant battle with mum… My fringe is so long it hangs in my eyes. Mum keeps wanting to put sparkly clips in my hair to keep my fringe out of my eyes, but I like to pull it out as soon as she puts in. Oh the fun we have been having!
- I now sleep in a big bed.
- I will eat when I feel like it but food is not really a priority for me. I still LOVE milk bottles.
- I am starting learn what fear is thanks to a crash on the slippery dip and a flying leap when bouncing on my new bed.
- I still love The Wiggles, Dora the Explorer and playing in parks.

Big Bed
Last night I slept in my new big bed!
Doh-doh (the elephant) and Socks (the monkey) kept me company throughout the night, but as a tip for other big bed converts, this is also a great chance to scam a few reassuring back rubs from Mum and Dad through the night!
I’m performing without a net in video below, but my night was thump-free as we had all the safety gear in place and I slept curled up in the corner near the walls.
Boo!
Nate & I had a great game of boo while in the Gold Coast last week.
Plum-Tuckered Out!
We spent the last week in sunny Queensland with some of mum’s family and had an absolute ball. It was a fun-filled adventure with twelve of us packed into one house. Mum and dad gave each other a camera for Chrissy and so we have lots of photos to share with you. In faxct they took 145 piccies & videos in TWO days! However, as we only got back today I am bit exhausted to put any up just yet. As you can see from the photos below I had such an action packed fun time that mum and I had a 50 minute snuggle on the flight on the way home…
Christmas on the Gold Coast
We spent Christmas this year on the Gold Coast with Mum’s family. It was fantastic! Nice weather, swimming, presents, swans, cousins … What more could a girl want? I’ve also written about the christmas surprise, Nate’s visit, the Dora presents, my cool hat and the trip home.
I had a lot of fun bending up and down in Nanny’s boots, parading around in Grandfarmers Hat and wearing Uncle Andrew’s fairy outfit (just kidding!).
Apparently a big part of Christmas Day is eating too much – fine with me!
Tom, Millie and I spent lots of time together and loved posing for the camera…
As is the way in a hot Australian Christmas, a lot of time was spent in and around the pool 🙂
And, of course, there were presents! But, unlike last years ducks, this year we had swans who liked to visit the back of the lake house we were staying in.
Merry Christmas
Huge art – Christmas surprise!
When we woke up on Christmas morning there was a surprise waiting for us! Giant pictures to colour in! Tom had Ben 10, Millie had Batman and I had a Dora picture. It was really, really cool!
Unfortunately we were really busy with family commitments, so these projects were too big to do on the day but Millie worked hard on hers over the following weeks!
