Another one joins the clan
Mum’s cousin Kirrily had a beautiful baby girl Alexandra Holly last Sunday (21st). We are so excited that all went well and that I have a new friend to play with!
If Alexandra (as mum’s cousin’s child) is mum’s second cousin…what is she to me?
There are solids and there are solids….
Two weeks ago mum and dad decided that I had grown up enough to start solids.
After a rocky start (Farex), I’ve worked out that there are good and bad solids.
So far the list stands as……
The good: Pumpkin, Apples and Pear.
The bad: Farex and Sweet Potato
Below are some photos from my first attempt (on Friday 12th, October).
Riverdance
“Riverdance is a cultural phenomenon that defies criticism for the enthusiastic and leaves everyone else scratching their heads. The wonderfully talented cast, bewitchingly spins (and stomps) its Celtic folk choreography featuring numerous breathless solos.”
Finally I’ve met them all!
On a roll after 3 weeks intense training
Dad just got back from a 3 week work trip, so I thought I’d surprise him with new tricks that I’ve been practising very hard.
Here is my plan:
- I utilise a wide range of new noises, including high pitched squealing, so I can instantly get his attention.
- When he comes running in and gives me attention, I don’t just smile, but giggle and laugh instead.
- He’ll then stay to play with me, but instead of just watching the toys I’ll now reach out and grab them from his hand.
- Last of all, he’ll flip me over for tummy time. That’s the cue for my grand finalie… Rolling!
I’d particularly like to thank Mum for taking such great care of me while Dad was away. She is always patient and attentive, constantly helps with my training and produces the yummiest milk!
A whale of a time
Today we went for a swim – and I had a whale of a time.
This was my first real swim. I dipped a quick toe in the pool when we were up at Middlemount, but this time I really let loose. I kicked about, I swallowed some water and I did some relaxing floating on my back.
I was a bit unsure at first (see first photo below)
…but then I really settled into it….
Swimming is lots of fun. Maybe when I grow up I can be a fish, or a whale or a turtle?
Birthday cuddles for Grandma
We celebrated Grandma Wallace’s birthday earlier today.
Emma was sizing up a big playground ladder she wanted to conquer. Juliette was thinking about the fact that we now have 8 girls and only 4 men at family gatherings. I was excited because Aunty Nai had just taken me on my first slippery dip ride.
Grandma was just happy to have all her granddaughters together for a cuddle.
Middlemount Cuddles
Finally I got to meet my cousins Tom and Milly!!! They are lots of fun 🙂
I had a brilliant week in Middlemount visiting them and Aunty Cinty and Uncle Gav. It was a week full of hot weather, lots of cuddles and my first swim! (the cuddles were the best part)
Here are some piccies……
Happy feet
Rain dancing out west
Last week mum and I went west to Grandfarmers and Nanny Paul’s farm. We had a fabulous time.
Here are some piccies from our trip, firstly of Nanny Paul & I.
Here I am chewing the fat with Uncle Andrew.
It’s very dry out there. So whilst in the garden relaxing, I dabbled a little in the ancient art of rain dancing.
…and finally, a few of me chilling out.
